Nyheter om Chinese Taipei Open som ej är sanktionerad

Information har skickats ut om vad som gäller kring tävlingen Chinese Taipei Open.

Dear All

Please be notified that the Chinese Taipei Open is not sanctioned by the Chinese Taipei Billiards Federation, the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports or by the WPA (but would have to be based upon the money added). This means that athletes that are participating in this event are either;

• Athletes that already following the Hanoi Open in October are not eligible to participate in WPA events, and that now through the participation in this event will have a new starting point for their period of ineligibility, or

• Athletes that currently are in good standing but that due to their participation in this event now will be seen as having actively chosen not to participate in WPA events during a time period of 6 months, starting at the commencement of this event.

The other two events that are organized back-to-back with the Chinese Taipei Open. These events are also not sanctioned by the ACBS or the WPA. Since we do not know how many athletes are allowed to participate and how much of an entry fee will be charged, we do not yet know if these two events would qualify for a WPA sanctioning.
